Mr. Emma Esinnah is the Country Director, Nigeria, for Curves International — the world’s largest fitness franchise, with presence in 94 countries.
Before joining Curves International, he worked in Nigeria’s banking industry for about 17 years, rising to the position of Regional Head, where he oversaw operations across the entire Mid-Western region of the country. Prior to this role, he served as Head of Marketing Communications and later as Special Assistant to the CEO for nearly 15 years.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.
Emma has undergone extensive professional training in Strategy, Leadership, Marketing, Communication, Finance, and Management at some of the world’s leading business schools. These include INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau, France; Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, UK; Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, USA; Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College, USA; Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, USA; Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA; and the International Development Institute, Dublin, Ireland. He is also an alumnus of the Senior Management Programme (SMP 32) of Lagos Business School.
Emma is widely credited with revolutionizing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function of the bank he served, leading to multiple national and international recognitions. These include the African Banker’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility and the Nigerian Social Enterprise and Reporting Awards (SERA), which the bank won for seven consecutive years under his leadership.
